Because running this costs real money — payment processing fees on every transaction, cloud hosting, SMS verification (genuinely billed per message, not free), content moderation infrastructure, and the actual time spent verifying and publishing every payout report with photos. A platform that gave away 100% would have no way to pay for its own existence, and would eventually give away 0%. 30% is what keeps this running and improving, honestly stated, not hidden in fine print.

Honestly — why should I use this instead of just donating directly to an NGO?

If maximizing rupees-to-charity is your only goal, donating 100% directly to a vetted NGO is genuinely more efficient than paying us where only 70% reaches a cause. We're not going to pretend otherwise. GDPK exists for a different reason: it turns a real moment of frustration into an immediate action, right when you feel it — venting and giving in the same motion, not two separate decisions on two separate days. Plenty of people who'd never open a donation page on their own end up funding something real here, as a byproduct of needing to vent. If that's not you, direct donation is the better path, and we mean that.

Do I get a tax receipt or 80G certificate? Or at least a receipt with my own name on it?

No. Your ₹100 (or Premium amount) is a commercial fee for using the platform, not a direct donation from you to a registered charity — so there's no personal 80G benefit for you. To be fully transparent: WiserPivot Solutions may claim its own legitimate business-expense (or, where eligible, 80G) benefit on the actual NGO payments it makes — that's WiserPivot's tax position as the entity making the real payment, entirely separate from your own, and doesn't create or reduce any benefit on your side either way. There's also a practical reason beyond tax: 70% of a single curse is often too small on its own to make a meaningful real-world gift, so it's pooled together with other users' contributions to the same cause category until there's enough for one genuine payout — you can watch this happen in the Global Impact Tracker's "Currently Held" figures. The NGO ultimately receives one combined payment representing many people's curses, not an amount traceable to any single one — which is why a receipt bearing your own name isn't something we're able to issue, even on Premium, where naming a preferred NGO doesn't change this pooling mechanic underneath it.

How do I actually know the causes are real, not just numbers on a screen?

Every payout is published with the real NGO name, amount, description, and photo proof — visible to anyone, no login needed, via "View All Pay-out Reports" on the homepage. Your own curse's outcome is traceable too, via "See What Your Curse Funded" once it's been settled.

I cursed weeks ago and still don't see a matching report. Is my money actually going anywhere?

Almost certainly yes — most contributions pool with others in the same cause category until the pooled amount crosses a meaningful threshold (₹500) before a real payout is made, rather than sending tiny, token amounts constantly. Check "Currently Held" in the Global Impact Tracker to see what's actively accumulating.

What's the difference between Standard and Premium?

Standard is a fixed ₹100. Premium starts at ₹750 (in ₹50 steps) and unlocks naming a specific NGO or recipient you'd like your cause-share directed toward.

If I name a specific NGO on Premium, is that guaranteed?

It's a genuine best-effort preference, not a binding instruction — we'll try, but the final call depends on legitimacy verification and real-world practicality. If it can't be honored, your portion gets redirected to a fitting real recipient instead, and that redirect is always shown honestly on your ledger with the reason, not hidden.

Is my curse visible to other people?

No — individual curses are private, visible only to you in your own ledger. There's no public feed of raw curse content. Aggregate payout reports (NGO, amount, cause) are public; your specific vent text never is, unless you choose to share it yourself via the share card after submitting.

Beyond the cause itself, why do people actually enjoy using this?

A few honest reasons, separate from the charitable angle: there's no gap between feeling the frustration and doing something about it — no "I'll donate later" moment where the intention quietly fades, it happens in the same click. The live Total Curses / Total Curse Money counters on the homepage are real and update instantly, so there's a genuine "I'm clearly not the only one who feels this way" signal every time you visit. Naming a cause you care about, without having to research and pick a specific NGO cold, removes a real barrier that stops a lot of people from giving at all. And honestly — it's designed to be fun first. People try it because venting like this feels satisfying, not because it feels like an obligation, which lowers the bar to actually doing something good a lot more than a straightforward ask would.

Why do I need to verify my phone number?

It's what makes rate-limiting and abuse prevention actually work, rather than something a script could trivially fake with a random fake number. Your number is never shown publicly — only to you, as your own "Active Profile."

Can I remove a curse I've already submitted?

Yes — email wiserpivot.solutions@gmail.com with your phone number, the receiver name, and the vent text (Terms Section 6.4), and we'll hide it from view, including your own ledger. The underlying payment record is kept for accounting purposes and isn't refunded, but the content itself stops being shown anywhere.

What am I not allowed to write?

Real personal identifiers of private individuals (full names, phone numbers, addresses), hate speech or slurs targeting a protected class, and threats of physical violence. Ordinary crude venting language is completely fine — that's the whole point of the platform. Full detail in Terms Section 3.

Will my curse be edited or censored if it breaks the rules?

No — it's checked before payment, and either accepted exactly as written, or rejected outright with a reason so you can edit and resubmit. Nothing gets silently altered or masked. No payment is ever taken for a rejected submission.

Someone I named in a curse wants it taken down. What happens?

There's a formal takedown process (Terms Section 6) with a committed response window — they'd email wiserpivot.solutions@gmail.com with proof of the specific post and the harm caused. Since individual curses aren't publicly visible in the first place, this mainly applies in genuine edge cases — but the mechanism exists and is taken seriously.

Is this actually legal?

Every rupee held in a category — even amounts still below the ₹500 payout threshold — gets paid out to a real, verified cause before any shutdown happens, published as one final transparency report, exactly like every other payout on this site. No held balance is ever simply kept or absorbed. This is a genuine commitment, not a legal requirement — but making it publicly here is precisely what makes it one.

How do I actually know a payout photo wasn't staged?

Fair question, and here's the honest answer: there's no independent, third-party audit system verifying every photo — this isn't a blockchain-backed platform, and we won't pretend otherwise. What's real: every report names a genuine, independently searchable NGO — not an anonymous entity — and every report ties back to a real, legally identifiable business (WiserPivot Solutions, a real registered company with a real founder, not an anonymous app). The math is also fully public and internally consistent across every report, month over month — anything fabricated would eventually show up as numbers that don't add up. If you want to verify further yourself, the NGO names are real enough to look up or contact directly. We'd rather tell you honestly what level of trust this actually is than oversell a guarantee we can't back up.

What's the "NGOs For Reference" page — is GDPK partnered with those NGOs?

No — worth being direct about this. That page is an independently compiled reference list, organized by cause category, meant purely as a starting point if you're naming a preference on Premium. GDPK has no official partnership, affiliation, or endorsement relationship with any NGO listed there, and the same goes for giveradar.com, mentioned on that page as one way to independently verify an NGO yourself. If you contact or donate to any of them directly, that's entirely your own action, separate from GDPK.
